Out-of-school (OOS) and out-of-district (OOD) examinees can use our online registration system to register for TAKS OOS and OOD tests via the Internet. Students without internet access may still submit registrations using the paper process. Districts may register students in grades 5 and 8 to test in a district other than their home district at http://www.TexasAssessment.com/taksgrades58ood

TAKS OOS/OOD testing is for:
- individuals who are no longer enrolled in school, or
- students in grades 5 and 8 may register to test in a district other than their home district at http://www.TexasAssessment.com/taksgrades58ood
- individuals who are enrolled in school but are unable to test at their home district's designated test site, or
- former TAAS examinees (including TEAMS examinees). TAAS is no longer being administered. Former TAAS examinees must register for and take the appropriate TAKS exit level tests. To read the important information regarding registration and testing, click on the link below.
How do I register for TAKS OOS/OOD testing?
To register, complete our online TAKS OOS/OOD registration form and submit it online for processing.
Exit level TAKS students and former TAAS examinees (including TEAMS examinees) may register during the registration period for the following test administrations:
- March TAKS Exit Level Retest
- April TAKS Exit Level Retest (on-site registration only)
- July TAKS Exit Level Retest
- October TAKS Exit Level Retest

The TAAS tests are no longer being administered. Former TAAS examinees (including former TEAMS examinees) will take the appropriate part of the TAKS exit level English language arts and/or mathematics test(s).
To register for the appropriate TAKS test, complete the online TAKS OOS registration form and submit it online for processing. See the note above under "How do I register for TAKS OOS/OOD testing?"
Former TAAS examinees may register during the registration period for the following test administrations:
- TAKS March Exit Level Retest
- TAKS April Exit Level Retest (on-site registration only)
- TAKS July Exit Level Retest
- TAKS October Exit Level Retest
